OUR SCENIC COLORADO TRIP
WHERE WE STAYED

After researching the best places to visit for this trip we were so ecstatic to find a cabin in one of the most beautiful national parks in Colorado, the Chautauqua Mountains.

Located at the foot of the iconic Flatirons, the Colorado Chautauqua has over 40 miles of open space hiking trails at its doorstep. Chautauqua is one of only 25 National Historic Landmarks in Colorado – and one of only two with lodging. They even have pet friendly cabins and a dining hall!

COVID Ready you ask? After each stay, each cabin is thoroughly sanitized, enjoy contactless check in and plenty of space between you and your neighbor. We spent most of our time shooting and hiking the nearly 40 miles of surrounding trails, but the property boasts of multiple tennis courts, a basketball court, meditative gardens and a playground.

Their larger Missions Lodge and Galey Cottage are also ideal for petite weddings, retreats and family reunions. Our stay was truly the cabin getaway of our dreams! We highly recommend.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIP

We planned our exact shooting spots in advance. In order to be the most comfortable while shooting content for your brand or for partnerships, I like to have my comfortable outfits on hand for maneuvering around parks etc. Once we get the the spot, I quickly change in the car.

COLORADO SPRINGS

Colorado Springs was only a few hours away! We made sure to make time for a day trip because it is absolutely so picturesque. Garden of the Gods is a must see. There are multiple vantage points and trails and we were able to stay until sunset contrary to their hours listed online.

Our favorite lookout spots for photos were Balanced Rock, North End of the Palmer Trail, and Pikes Peak. We basically drove the entirety of the paved road throughout the park and easily stumbled upon so many amazing photo spots.

DOWNTOWN DENVER

There is so much to do downtown but we had such a blast at Union Station. At the Union Station bar, Conner and I both agreed they had one of the best espresso martinis of all time. The furniture filling the station is all mid-century modern and antique which makes for perfect imagery! There are also so many different restaurants to pick from.

For parking, there is a Whole Foods within walking distance. We bought some beautiful flowers for props as we were shooting around Downtown.
